It’s the way of the world. So long as there is money it is logically inevitable that some will have more than others. People(including gullible sections of the media) always seem surprised that the gap between rich and poor is growing, and declare this to be bad. But think about it: the poorest in the community use all their resources for day to day living, while those who earn or have more than is needed to cover the basics can and often do save each week - so the gap must widen inevitably unless you ban money or tax people of all their cash beyond that needed to cover the basics. Money is really only one of many physical manifestations of power so to gripe about the rich is to gripe about the powerful, who will use their power in whatever way they want - even to the extent of them getting heavy beer at the G.
